When in El Nido: A Glimpse of Paradise
Last July, I've been on a short trip to El Nido with my fam. We've been there for four days and three nights. It was a super fun experience. It was really a planned Palawan trip, but what was not planned was the "El Nido-only" trip because we didn't get to roam around the city that much.
They say that your Palawan visit won't be complete if you won't visit the Underground River. Mom wants to go but unfortunately, it was closed at that time. So I suggested to go to El Nido instead. I'm really a beach person that is why I didn't stop until I convince mom to go to El Nido. Hahaha!
So these are the things that I will never forget about my trip.
1. The FOOD
These are just some of the foods we ate at that time. The fishes are soooo fresh which makes them so delicious. The food in Puerto Princesa is good as well. They even have the "crocodile sisig" but I didn't have the guts to try it.
What can be more satisfying than eating your dinner beside the sea? Yas, they have that. There are a couple of restaurants that are located at the seashore so you'll really enjoy your dinner while appreciating the scenery. Oh how I miss eating there.
2. The BEACH
We went to Nacpan Beach which is located at the extremity of El Nido, I believe. It was simply beautiful. The sand is so smooth and the water is so clear. (see the very first picture above.) Plus it isn't crowded that's why you can really enjoy the beach. I get to do some activities like kayaking and swimming!
We also went to other beaches like the Las Cabanas Beach. It is where my heart broke into pieces charot! There is a zipline there wherein its starting point is located at the mountain and the end point is at an island. Yes, you're gonna cross the sea with the zipline. I really really want to do it but I didn't get the chance to try it because we're all too tired to go up the mountain and mom won't let me. She's more nervous than me. However, I still enjoyed the beach. It shows because I'm getting darker and darker. Haha!
3. The SCENERY
No words can describe my feelings for El Nido. The scenery is just breathtaking. I mean look at these goodness.
I will never get tired waking up next to this. Who will, right? If I could just live here forever, I will.
4. The ADVENTURES
Who loves adventures? Then we can surely be best friends! I'm really into adventures, to the point where I wanna experience everything! That is why when I'm still preparing for this trip, I'm really looking forward for the island hopping, the snorkeling, swimming and etc.
My most fave part is when we're about to go to Secret Lagoon and when we used kayaks to enter the Small Lagoon. At the Secret Lagoon, they are all scared because we need to swim to reach the lagoon and it is so steep and mind you, it was so wavy that time. But when mom finally told me that I can go, I immediately put my life vest on and went to the lagoon. Mom and my bro was accompanied by our tour guide. This is what it looks like inside the Secret Lagoon. It's so nice and warm. It is like a hidden lagoon, that is why I think it is called Secret Lagoon.
On the Small Lagoon, only kayaks are fit to enter because of the narrow entrance. Each kayak can only accommodate 3 person. What we did is we rented 2 kayaks and we were both accompanied by our tour guides, since we don't know how to control the kayak. At first it was nerve-wracking because I feel like the kayak is too small to accommodate us three, and according to our tour guide, the small lagoon is 50 feet deep. Then I realized I have my life vest on. Lols. It went great and I really enjoyed it.
My ESSENTIALS
Of course, if you're at the beach, you shall never forget your sunscreen and sunglasses. You need to enjoy and you also need to protect your body. As for me, I also brought a cap (not a fan of a hat lols). I also brought a lot of my waterproof stuffs, especially my brow pomade to keep my brows put.
That's all and I had fun sharing my trip to you! Ciao!
