CHEAP WAY TO REVIVE DRIED OUT GEL LINERS/CREAM SHADOWS/POMADE

Who else hate it when their gels/creams dry out to the point that it's becoming useless? Like, duh there's no pigment/color coming off, how are you supposed to use it? And yet you refuse to throw it because, bes sayang naman. Well, that's me every single time. Especially that my dipbrow pomade is one of my everyday essentials, and fyi, it dries ever so quickly. That's why it bothers me everytime. I searched and searched on how to revive mine and I found out about the Inglot Duraline, which is raved by everyone. It's like an oil and it can save "the life" of your gel liners, cream shadows, pomade, wax and etc. However, it's kinda pricy for me. It's 11$, I believe, which is 550 pesos. Yeah it's not like suuuuuper expensive, but I'm not gonna spend that money just for an oil. Tipid tipid din po 'pag may time. Haha! Besides, I'm not quite sure if it's available here in the Philippines. So here, I'm gonna share a practical tip that can make your dried out gel liners good as new.

Just a little disclaimer, I'm not discouraging everyone to buy the Inglot Duraline. It has been raved by many bloggers that's why I think it's a very good product. If you can buy it, then go. I'm just sharing my personal thoughts about it and also sharing what is more practical, especially for the students (who are a makeup junkie like meh).

So why did I say that this is the CHEAP WAY to revive your gel liners and etc.?

Because you just need 2 things that can probably be seen on your own home!!!

1. A contact lens solution OR eye drops. (Don't worry, either of the two will perfectly work. I just don't have any eye drops as of the moment that is why I used this solution instead.)

2. Stick OR mini spatula (or anything that you can use to mix the product, just make sure it is clean.) (as for me, I used a barbeque stick because that's all I have. Hehehe.)

So... IS IT SAFE?

Well, YEAH! Completely safe. Because these things (contact lens solution & eye drops) are obviously used for our eyes.

So that's all you need. But before anything else, I just want to tell you that there is another cheap way to revive your babiez. That is if you have a microwave. What you have to do is to put your dried out gel liners or etc. inside the microwave and set it into 30 seconds. What it does is it melts the product so it turns to this kind of liquid form. But I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS. It is not yet known, maybe because not everyone can risk their products inside the microwave. So do I, but I tried it because I was totally desperate to revive my Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade, even though I'm so scared to do it. At first, I was so happy to see my pomade in the waxy form that it used to be after the microwave method. But when I tried it, it was soooo sticky and nagbuo-buo. I was so frustrated that time, I nearly cried. That's not just the reason why I don't recommend this method. You may not know if your products are flammable. It's better to be safe, right?

Let's just stick to this method. I already did this to my Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade and the gel liner I bought at Daiso (which is actually a nice liner) and I'm so much happier with how it applies now. I will visually show you the steps on how to do this contact lens solution/eye drop method.

First, you put one drop on your product. If this isn't enough, then add another drop. Don't put multiple drops in one time. You just gotta be patient. ONE DROP AT A TIME so that you'll have more control of it.

The product I'm reviving is the wax part of my Elf Eyebrow Kit. As you can see, it is really dry and it doesn't have any pigment at all.

Once you're done, start scraping the product using the stick or whatever. Just make sure it is clean. Mix it until it becomes a more waxy-ish form. Add more drops if you need to, but don't put too much. As for me, two drops are enough to save the wax side of my eyebrow kit.

If you want it to look more presentable then feel free to flatten it to look brand new. (I skipped that part because I'm too lazy to do that. Hahaha!)

So this is what it looked like after. Mine may not look that good but it's ready to use again, that's all I want. That's it. I hope this little tip helped you.

PS. A little shoutout to the Professional Makeup Artists in our Makeup Workshop. They're the one who told me about this tip. Thankies!
