CURRENT FAVE: CoverGirl's The Super Sizer Mascara

Mascara is that one product that almost all of us use in a daily basis. And I admit, I'm one of those people (except when I'm too lazy to do my makeup routine lol). I just love how mascara gives life to my puffy eyes. And now, I'm gonna share to you my thoughts about my current fave mascara which is the CoverGirl The Super Sizer Mascara.

It claims to give you 400% volume (which is OMG) and a full, fanned out lashes. Obviously, That's what I really need because my lashes grow straight down. They aren't even visible in pictures. But we all know that it's not the only mascara that claims to give a fanned out lashes. That is why at first, I was really not into this one. But then mom gave me one and I eventually tried it. And guess what? I LOVED IT! I loved it to the point that I bought another tube because I already emptied the one she gave me.

So this mascara comes in a regular size tube which is nice because I don't usually reach for the bulky ones. Its brush is thin and skinny which is also great for the lower lashes. My shade currently is in black noir. I'm just not sure how many shades they have but the first one I had was in the shade black brown. It contains 12 ml which is pretty decent for its price. But I'm telling you, if you're really hooked to this one, you're gonna get though it faster than you expected.

All of my thoughts about this product is absolutely based on my own experience. I'm not telling you that you need to love this too. We all have different taste, especially with makeup, but I believe that children are our future, no just kidding. I believe that this can help you choose the product that you might like and might work for you. I just wanna say that.

Even though I really admire this product, there are still pros and cons(kinda) that you need to consider. Let's first talk about the pros.

PROS

Ease of application

They said that you need to twirl the wand while using it to get the best result (I'm not quite sure about this.). I tried it but I think it just made things more complicated. So I used it like a normal human would (HAHA!) I mean like using a regular mascara and I'm surprised that I didn't even need to exert my innermost effort to get the result that I want. Same goes with my lower lashes. I think that the wand helps a lot with the application because it's so tiny that you can get all of the product on your lashes. I liked that. Besides, that's what we pay for, right?   

Volume

They were never kidding when they say 400% volume, that is if you build the intensity that you desire. It's not a bad thing for me because every mascara goes like that. At first coat, you will definitely see a difference and it is perfect for an everyday look. But if you really want to spice it up and double the volume, you're free to do the second coat and O-M-G!!! PERFECTION. You'll really get the oh-so-volumized lashes that you want. I remember last time my classmate asked me if I'm wearing a falsies. That's how I know this is really good. And another thing, it won't get clumpy no matter how many times you build it up.


CONS (kinda)

First of all, I'm laughing right now because I can't really think of a word that best describes what I'm thinking right now. It's a con but not really a con. It's like in between. That is why I called it "kinda cons". Haha! I'll tell you why.

Not waterproof/water resistant

I'm bittersweet about this guys. I'm wearing this almost everyday and it includes my school days. It is very hot. I can't even explain how hot it is. It's like you're right beside the sun. I'm not even exaggerating. So if that's the case, I tend to sweat a lot. And when my lashes gets wet, it will smudge all over my eyes and it's gonna be craaaaay. So yeah I understood it will happen 'cause it's not waterproof. So I did everything to control it. But what impressed me is that it will last the whole day. Just don't let any liquid come to your lashes. Hahaha! 

Somehow, I like that it isn't waterproof because at the end of the day, you won't struggle taking it off. Because just like taking off a liquid lipstick, it's also a struggle to take off a waterproof mascara. So I really think it is perfect for a daily use.

So here, I'm gonna show you the before application and after application photos of the mascara. Bear with me, I don't have a decent cam so it's not gonna be a HD photo. HAHAHA! ;)

BEFORE APPLICATION

Now you'll all believe me when I tell you that my lashes grow down. Lol.

AFTER FIRST COAT

So as you can see, I already have my lashes guys! Hahaha! Kidding. It made a difference right? I just shot it in a different angle for you to really see the difference. That's what I told you that is perfect for a soft, everyday look. But it's still isn't enough for me. I want full length lashes. Let's look what the second coat would look like.

AFTER SECOND COAT

I hope no one notices that I forgot to put the second coat of the lower lashes of the right eye but I'll tell you anyways. Hahaha! It's very noticeable though. Sorry for that. Let's focus on the left eye. As you can see after the second coat, it gave me the length that I wanted. And I'm telling you, it will really stay the whole day.

I really recommend this mascara especially for the students like me. It is perfect for everyday use. It's not a pain in the ass to take off and even if you build up the intensity, it won't clump. That is why this has been a favorite since early this year.

PRICE: P395. It's definitely worth it!
